The costs of storing stem cells
The fee consists of an initial payment of EUR 400. This consists of a non-refundable deposit of EUR 240 and first payment of EUR 160 (refundable in case of unsuccessful collection). Smart Cells offers different options for storage terms - 20 years for a total of EUR 1740 and 25 years for a total of EUR 1980. The balance (total less initial payment) is only payable once your baby's stem cells have been collected and stored at our laboratory in the UK. If, for any reason, the sample is not collected or successfully stored, you will not be charged the balance due. If your baby's sample is needed within 12 months of the baby's birth, your payment (less the non-refundable deposit) will be refunded to you. When we receive your initial payment we will forward you the SmartBaby collection kit and begin to assist you with arranging the collection process.

The cost covers the following:
  • temperature controlled SmartBaby collection kit
  • full 25 years storage
  • all processing costs
  • all retrieval costs
  • all standard courier charges
We offer parents the possibility to spread the cost of storing your baby's valuable stem cells over a period of months. If you require this option, contact us for more details.
